Unicolors files suit against garment vendors over alleged copyright infringement

LOS ANGELES – Vernon-based Unicolors alleges one of its copyrighted textile designs was used without authorization.

Unicolors Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against TUA Fashion Inc., Zulily LLC and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds TUA Fashion Inc., Zulily LLC and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold garments made out of fabrics that bear plaintiff's 402257 design.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, all profits and damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong, Amy Choe and Ryan N. Ostrowski of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
