Consumer files suit against Wells Fargo Bank over alleged frequent collection calls

SAN FRANCISCO – An Oregon woman alleges a financial institution repeatedly called her without her permission.

Angel Good filed a complaint on Jan. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Wells Fargo Bank N.A., doing business as Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in she suffered damages from receiving several collection calls. The plaintiff holds Wells Fargo Bank N.A. responsible because the defendant allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff using an automatic telephone dialing system despite her request to stop calling her in May 2016.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $500, treble damages, and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Trinette G. Kent of Lemberg Law LLC in Wilton, Connecticut.
