Tribune Media, AOL accused of using photos in video without consent

LOS ANGELES – A California man alleges his copyrighted photos were used in videos without his permission.

Jeffrey Werner filed a complaint on Jan. 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against the Tribune Media Co., AOL Inc. and Does 1-10 citing copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he owns the photos titled Amazon Eve: The World's Tallest Professional Model. The plaintiff holds Tribune Media Co., AOL Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly published a video on their website containing plaintiff's photographs without his authorization.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, all profits, statutory damages, enhanced damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Stephen M. Doniger, Scott Alan Burroughs Trevor W. Barrett and Justin M. Gomes of Doniger/Burroughs in Venice.
