Government seeks repayment of loans from Ventura County resident alleges in default

LOS ANGELES – A Ventura County woman is alleged to have defaulted on two student loans.

United States of America, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education, filed a complaint on Feb. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Angela Denard alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Denard failed to pay the principal amount of her debts including interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $1,000 plus interest of $1,223.03 with interest accruing thereafter at 5 percent per annum; principal amount of $5,446.22 plus interest of $11,645.24 with interest accruing thereafter at 8 percent per annum, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just.
