LOS ANGELES – A photographer claims a San Juan Capistrano online retailer is selling his photos without authorization.
Peter Kredenser filed a complaint on Feb. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against The Movie Market Inc., doing business as moviemarket.com, and Does 1-20 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages from having his photographs of Jane Seymour, the cast of "Charlie's Angels" and others used without permission. The plaintiff holds The Movie Market Inc., doing business as moviemarket.com, and Does 1-20 responsible because the defendants allegedly copied and uploaded plaintiff's photographs on their website for sale.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, profits, statutory damages, interest, to enjoin the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Adam I. Gafni and Sascha D.B. Miesel of Law Offices of Adam I. Gafni in Santa Monica.
