LOS ANGELES – A Tulare establishment is facing allegations that it unlawfully performed musical compositions without a license.
Broadcast Music Inc., Welsh Witch Music, Coral Reefer Music, Sony/ATV Songs LLC, et al. filed a complaint on Feb. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Jeffrey Alan Hathcock and Janet Hayre, individually and doing business as Rock N' Horse Saloon, alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages to their business as the result of their musical compositions being used without a license. The plaintiffs holds Hathcock and Hayre, individually and doing business as Rock N' Horse Saloon, responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to purchase a license for plaintiffs' musical compositions despite several attempts by the plaintiffs to reach out to them.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiffs' copyrights, statutory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Jeffrey W. Kramer and Annmarie Mori of Troygould PC in Los Angeles.
