Consumer claims Capital Alliance Group made unlawful solicitation calls

Phone 06

LOS ANGELES – A Shell Beach consumer claims she was unlawfully contacted with solicitation calls and has filed a class-action lawsuit.

Terri Alves filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Feb. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Capital Alliance Group and Does 1 through 10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in July 2016, she suffered damages and was charged from receiving several calls from the defendant attempt to solicit its services. The plaintiff holds Capital Alliance Group and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly called the plaintiff without her consent and despite that she was registered on the National Do-Not-Call Registry.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 in statutory damages, $1,500 in treble damages, and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
