LOS ANGELES – A California corporation claims one of its exclusive textile designs was used for clothing without authorization.
Salt & Pepper Clothing Inc. filed a complaint on March 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Kissui Inc., doing business as Kith, and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its design copied. The plaintiff holds Kissui Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold garments made out of fabrics that bear plaintiff's design.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Frank N. Lee of Law Office of Frank N. Lee in Los Angeles.
