Copyright 02

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County corporation alleges one of its copyrighted designs was used without authorization.

City Prints LLC filed a complaint on March 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Bilco Import and Export Co., International Fashion Trends, Lot Less NYC Inc., Ross Stores Inc., and Does 1 through 10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its design used on other fabrics. The plaintiff holds Bilco Import and Export Co., International Fashion Trends, Lot Less NYC Inc., Ross Stores Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold garments made out of fabrics that featured plaintiff's P10511 design.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, all profits, any monetary advantages, statutory damages, all legal fees, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Stephen M. Doniger, Scott A. Burroughs, Trevor W. Barrett and Justin M. Gomes of Doniger/Burroughs in Venice.
