SAN DIEGO – A Vista consumer alleges Wells Fargo Bank keeps calling her to reach another person.
Lynn Laing filed a complaint on March 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against Wells Fargo Bank NA alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in beginning December 2016, she suffered damages from receiving several unwanted calls on her home phone from the defendant in its attempt to contact an unknown third party. The plaintiff holds Wells Fargo Bank NA responsible because the defendant allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff despite her request to stop calling her.
The plaintiff seeks statutory damages of $1,000, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Michael S. Agruss of Agruss Law Firm LLC in Chicago.
