Passenger alleges driver's negligence caused injuries in collision on Highway 405

LOS ANGELES – An Arizona woman claims she was injured as a passenger of a driver who was allegedly under the influence.

Sylvia Uhrich filed a complaint on March 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Mary Hyde alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in March 28, 2015, she was a passenger in the defendant's vehicle traveling on Highway 405. The plaintiff holds Hyde responsible because the defendant allegedly operated her vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and exceeded the speed limit, and collided with a vehicle in front of her car. The plaintiff claims her right distal radius was shattered as a result of the accident.

The plaintiff seeks general and special damages of no less than $750,000, punitive damages, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Ethan D. Kirschner of Kirschner & Associates in Los Angeles.
