Carpenters Southwest Administrative Corp. seeks audit of John R. Apperson Construction

Law money 09

LOS ANGELES – A Southern California construction company is alleged to have refused an audit.

Carpenters Southwest Administrative Corp. and board of trustees for the Carpenters Southwest Trusts filed a complaint on April 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division against John Richard Apperson, doing business as John R. Apperson Construction, and Does 1 through 10 citing the Labor-Management Relations Act and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they have requested an audit of the defendants' business. The plaintiff holds Apperson, doing business as John R. Apperson Construction, and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly breached their bargaining agreement with the plaintiffs by refusing to let plaintiffs conduct an audit.

The plaintiffs seek for the defendants to be compelled to submit to an audit, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Jodi Siegner of DeCarlo & Shanley in Los Angeles.
