Two file suit over allegations they were injured in accident with USPS employee in Taft

Car accident 09

SAN DIEGO – Two Kern County individuals allege that they were injured in a collision with a United States Postal Service employee.

Angela L. Hayden and Joshua D. Buttram filed a complaint on April 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against United States of America, Ashley Miller and Does 1 to 50 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on March 23, 2016, they suffered damages and injuries from being involved in a vehicular accident in Taft with Miller, a United States Postal Service employee. The plaintiffs allege they filed a timely claim for damages per the Federal Tort Claims Act in September 2016 and that it was not formally denied, but deemed denied per the Act in March.

The plaintiffs seek compensatory damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Matthew C. Clark of Chain Cohn Stiles in Bakersfield.
