SAN FRANCISCO – A bus passenger alleges she was injured because of a poorly maintained sidewalk.

Brenda Tucker filed a complaint on March 30 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against city and county of San Francisco, Doe Bus Driver and Does 2 through 10 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 1, 2016, she was leaving a bus controlled by the defendants. She alleges the bus driver positioned the bus so that the plaintiff would step onto a disrepaired sidewalk, which she claims caused her to fall and suffered severe physical injuries. The plaintiff holds the city and county of San Francisco, Doe Bus Driver and Does 2 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to maintain an adequate and safe sidewalk and negligently operated the bus.

The plaintiff seeks general damages, special damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Thomas J. Brandi and Casey A. Kaufman of The Brandi Law Firm in San Francisco.
