Villarta Foods shopper alleges she slipped on water, was injured

FRESNO – A business invitee at a Fresno supermarket operators claims she was injured because of water on the floor.

Guadalupe Villanueva filed a complaint on May 11 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Villarta Foods Enterprise Inc. and Does 1-50 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 14, 2015, she was a customer at defendants' Vallarta Supermarket when she slipped on water and fell. The plaintiff alleges she has suffered pain and suffering, loss of earnings and was compelled to seek medical care and treatment. 

The plaintiff holds Villarta Foods Enterprise Inc. and Does 1-50 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to posts warnings signs around the area.

The plaintiff seeks general and special damages, medical and incidental expenses, loss of earnings, costs of suit and all further relief as the court deems just and proper. She is represented by Alex Sarajian, William B. Mayoff and Karina A. Padua of LA Injury Attorneys in Burbank.
