Jitrade Inc. claims Style In USA, others unlawfully used design

LOS ANGELES – Several apparel companies are accused of unlawfully using a Los Angeles company's textile design.

Jitrade Inc. filed a complaint on June 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Style In USA Inc., doing business as Nadia Appleb, B-Tween, and 1 Style in USA; Calysta Apparel Inc., doing business as Sway; Trend Notes Inc.; Biggernbetter Inc., doing business as Abeauty By BNB; and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its SND1412_15 design copied without permission. The plaintiff holds Style In USA Inc., doing business as Nadia Appleb, B-Tween, and 1 Style  in USA; Calysta Apparel Inc., doing business as Sway; Trend Notes Inc.;  Biggernbetter Inc., doing business as Abeauty By BNB; and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold or manufactured garments made out of fabrics that using plaintiff's design.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong and Amy Choe of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
