FRESNO – The owners of a Fresno property are alleged to have failed to correct violations of the city's municipal code.
City of Fresno and people of the state of California filed a complaint on May 15 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Philip Sweet, Dave Sweet and Does 1-10 alleging that they violated the Fresno Municipal Code.
According to the complaint, the city of Fresno alleges that from 2015 to the present, it has inspected a North Broadway Avenue property owned by the defendants and found it abandoned. The plaintiffs hold Philip Sweet, Dave Sweet and Does 1-10 responsible because the property allegedly contains broken windows and an illegally stored vacant and abandoned vehicle in violation of city code.
The plaintiffs seek payment for all abatement costs, administrative costs and administrative citations, costs of suit, attorney fees and such other relief as the court deems proper. They are represented by Douglas T. Sloan and Stephanie M. Snyder of the city of Fresno.
