FRESNO – An information security officer alleges his Fresno employer wrongfully terminated him because he took medical leaves.
Gregory Stout filed a complaint on May 15 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Rabobank NA and Does 1-50 alleging disability discrimination and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 8, 2016, he was terminated from his employment after 19 years of service. He alleges he believes that he was terminated because of his need for medical leave to care for his wife, who was undergoing treatments for cancer, and for his own medical needs.
The plaintiff holds Rabobank NA and Does 1-50 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide reasonable accommodation and to engage in an interactive process and retaliated against him by terminating his employment based on disability.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks general, special and punitive damages; interest; attorney’s fees; costs and such other relief and the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Robert P. Biegler, D. Aaron Brock and Christopher P. Brandes of Brock & Gonzales LLP in Los Angeles.
