Office manager alleges Valley Medical Systems terminated her because of her age

Wrongful term 08

FRESNO – A Fresno woman alleges she was wrongfully terminated from her position as office manager for a medical facility.

Sharon German filed a complaint on June 6 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Valley Medical Systems Inc. and Does 1-20 alleging that they violated the Fair Employment and Housing Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was hired by the defendant in April 2012 as an administrative assistant and was promoted to office manager in 2016. The suit states she was terminated on Feb. 20 and replaced by a younger person. She alleges she was 66 years old at the time of her termination.

The plaintiff holds Valley Medical Systems Inc. and Does 1-20 responsible because the defendants allegedly unlawfully allowed its employees to subject plaintiff to discrimination based on age.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory, punitive and consequential damages; attorney's fees; costs of court and such other just and proper relief. She is represented by Jean-Paul Le Clercq and Ronald W. Makarem of Makarem & Associates APLC in Los Angeles.
