Alliance Security Inc. alleged to have failed to pay correct rate for overtime work

Law money 06

SACRAMENTO – A Sacramento County man alleges he was not paid the appropriate rate for overtime work during his employment with a security and alarm systems company.

Christopher Grier filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on June 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Alliance Security Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed as a field technician from April to October 2015 for the defendant. The plaintiff holds Alliance Security Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide off-duty meal and rest periods, did not reimburse for work-related expenditures and did not pay a rate of time-and-one-half for overtime work.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks liquidated damages, restitution, statutory penalties, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by David A. Tashroudian of Tashroudian Law Group APC in Woodland Hills.
