LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles corporation alleges one of its exclusive textile designs was used without its permission.
Kilina America Inc. filed a complaint on June 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Blossom Inc., Myung Hee Park and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Kilina America Inc. suffered damages as the result of its MS-1391-1 design being copied. The plaintiff holds Blossom Inc., Park and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold or manufactured garments made out of fabrics that bear plaintiff's design.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong and Amy Choe of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
