LOS ANGELES – A Signal Hill corporation and Menlo Park company allege that a Redondo Beach company infringes their patented technology with a facial product.
Edge Systems LLC and AXIA Medsciences LLC filed a complaint on June 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division against Aesthetic Skin Systems LLC alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, Axia owns the rights to several patents relating to a facial system and that the patents are licensed to Edge. The plaintiffs hold Aesthetic Skin Systems LLC responsible because the defendant's Aqua Skin Facial product allegedly infringes at least one claim of plaintiffs' '591 patent.
The plaintiffs seek to enjoin the defendants, profits, actual damages, lost profits, treble damages, exemplary damages, punitive damages, interest all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Brenton R. Babcock and Ali S. Razai of Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear LLP in Irvine.
