A woman alleges Aetna Life Insurance wrongfully denied her disability benefits claim

SAN FRANCISCO – A Palm Desert resident alleges that her application for disability benefits was unlawfully denied.

Holly Kmita filed a complaint on April 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Aetna Life Insurance Co. alleging violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she became disabled in 2016 and applied for long-term disability benefits from the defendant. The suit states her application was denied.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory damages, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by P. Randall Noah of Law Offices of P. Randall Noah in Orinda.
