SAN FRANCISCO –  A Benecia woman alleges that her disability benefits were wrongfully terminated.

Denise Alsandor-Wiley filed a complaint on June 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Unum Life Insurance Co. of America alleging violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she became disabled in 1999 and initially received benefits from the defendant. The suit states her benefits were terminated on Feb. 3. The plaintiff seeks compensatory damages, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by P. Randall Noah of Law Offices of P. Randall Noah in Orinda.
