LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles woman alleges she was assaulted by an intoxicated passenger while on a flight.

Ayanna Hart filed a complaint on June 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Delta Air Lines Inc. and Skywest Airlines Inc. alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was assaulted and battered by a belligerently intoxicated passenger on Flight DL 3559 from Los Angeles to Denver on May 12. She alleges a flight attendant employed by the defendants continuously served several alcoholic beverages to the passenger and that he groped her and pulled at her clothing.

The plaintiff holds Delta Air Lines Inc. and Skywest Airlines Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly allowed their employees to serve several alcoholic beverages to an intoxicated passenger and did not take any corrective measures to minimize or end the passenger's assault.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages of $1 million, punitive damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Marc J. Randazza of Randazza Legal Group PLLC in Las Vegas, Nevada.
