LOS ANGELES – A Texas sports psychologist and sports performance consultant alleges that a fantasy sports professional residing in Los Angeles unlawfully used his work.
Keith F. Bell, Ph.D. filed a complaint on June 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Alvin Zeidenfeld alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is the author of "Winning Isn't Normal," which was published in 1982. The plaintiff holds Zeidenfeld responsible because the defendant allegedly displayed, reproduced and distributed part of "Winning Isn't Normal" on his Twitter account without the plaintiff's authorization.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory and actual damages, enhanced damages, permanent injunction against the defendant, interest, all legal fees, and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Mateo Z. Fowler of MZF Law Firm in Santa Monica.
