A.R. Air Conditioning Inc. alleged to owe more than $5,000 to labor union funds

LOS ANGELES – A Glendora employer is alleged to have failed to pay contributions to two labor union funds.

Board of trustees of the Plumbers and Pipefitters National Pension Fund and board of trustees of the International Training Fund filed a complaint on June 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against A.R. Air Conditioning Inc., Linda Scoggins, Gregory Scoggins, Mark Wayne Scoggins and does 1 through 20 alleging that they violated the Employees Retirement Income Security Act of 1974.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that the defendants failed to pay the contributions and owe the plaintiffs unpaid contributions in the amount of $5,852.66, including damages and interest. They allege that the defendants failed to pay contributions from June 2015 to April 2016.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek payment of delinquent contributions, liquidated damages, interest, cost, reasonable attorney's fees, prejudgment interest and such other and further relief as to the court may deem proper. They are represented by Jack R. Wilkerson in Orange.
