Government alleges Orange County man owes more than $2,000 for student loan

LOS ANGELES – An Orange County man is alleged to have failed to pay his student loan.

United States of America, on behalf of the Department of Education, filed a complaint on July 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Detrick Simmons alleging that the individual failed to settle his debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Simmons failed to pay the principal amount of his student loan debt.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $2,880.25 plus interest of $1,013.91 with further interest at 10 percent per annum accruing at $1.07 per day, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by William I. Goldsmith and Michael L. Goldsmith of Goldsmith & Hull, A.P.C. in Northridge.
