German corporation accuses California tattoo business of patent infringement

SACRAMENTO — A German corporation and Florida business are suing a California tattoo business, alleging patent infringement.

Mt. Derm GmbH of Berlin and Nouveau Cosmetique USA Inc. of Orlando, Florida, filed a complaint July 14 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Joker Tattoo Supply LLC of Visalia, California, alleging the defendant manufactured and sold products that infringes upon the plaintiffs' patents.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs suffered damages to their business from having their patented invention infringed upon by Tatto Supply. The plaintiffs allege the defendant sold needle cartridges and cartridge grips that infringes one or more claims of of the plaintiffs' patents.

The plaintiffs seek trial by jury, treble damages, interest, enjoin the defendant, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. Their legal team includes attorneys William E. Thomson Jr. and David A. Randall of Brooks Kushman PC in Los Angeles.
