LOS ANGELES — A German woman is suing Claire's Stores, alleging copyright infringement.
Angelika Parker filed a complaint July 10 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Claire's Stores, Inc., and Does 1 through 10, alleging they sells cell phone covers that are confusingly similar to the plaintiff's.
According to the complaint, Parker suffered damages to her business and reputation from having her cell phone covers copied. The plaintiff alleges the defendants sells goods bearing the plaintiff's designs.
Parker seeks trial by jury, enjoin the defendant, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorneys Farhad Novian, Joseph A. Lopez and Sharon Raminfard of Novian & Novian LLP in Los Angeles.
