FRESNO — A mentally disabled Kings County woman is suing eye care service providers, alleging sexual battery and harassment.

Cathy Jensen filed a complaint June 27 in Fresno County Superior Court against Eye-Q Vision Care Inc. and Does 1-20, alleging Eye-Q failed to prevent its agents' inappropriate conduct and behavior.

According to the complaint, on July 21, 2016, Jensen was sexually abused and molested by Doe 6 and was caused to suffer medical expenses, pain and suffering, humiliation, embarrassment and emotional distress.

The plaintiff alleges Eye-Q maintained and allowed an environment for its patients to fall victim to sexual abuse and molestation at the hands of Doe 6.

Jensen seeks trial by jury, all damages, civil penalties, interests, attorney fees, costs of suit and disbursements and all other relief. She is represented by attorneys Jason A. Helsel, John C. Fowler and Mark A. Vogt of Fowler Helsel Vogt in Fresno.
