SAN FRANCISCO — A California company that operates video music channels through a service provider is suing a Peruvian man, alleging copyright infringement.
GoDigital Records LLC filed a complaint Aug. 3 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Luis Miguel Olivares, alleging he illegally reproduced the plaintiff's musical compositions without permission.
According to the complaint, GoDigital Records suffered damages from having its works copied without its consent. The plaintiff alleges Olivares illegally reproduced and publicly displayed GoDigital's copyrighted works.
GoDigital Records seeks to enjoin the defendant, damages, interest, profits, legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. It is represented by attorney D. Inder Comar of Comar LLP in San Francisco.
