LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles textile converter is suing garment vendors, alleging copyright infringement.

Neman Brothers & Assoc Inc. filed a complaint Aug. 16 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Ju Qin, and Does 1-10, alleging they illegally copied and reproduced the plaintiff's fabric designs.

According to the complaint, Neman Brothers suffered damages from having its two-dimensional fabric designs copied without consent. The plaintiff alleges the defendants are illegally selling garments made out of fabrics that bear Neman's designs.

Neman Brothers seeks trial by jury, enjoin the defendant, all profits, legal fees, interest and any other relief the court deems just. It is represented by attorneys C. Yong Jeong, John R. Baldivia and Scott Satkin of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
