SAN FRANCISCO — A San Francisco woman is suing Pfizer, alleging breach of contract.

Tina Sampath filed a complaint Aug. 21 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Pfizer Inc., Medivation Inc. 2015 Severance Plan, alleging that the plan administrator wrongfully denied the plaintiff's claim for benefits.

According to the complaint, Sampath suffered damages from not receiving her benefits based on her agreement with the defendants. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide a written response to Sampath's appeal for her benefits.

Sampath seeks benefits entitled, interest, legal fees, and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Daniel Feinberg of Feinberg, Jackson, Worthman & Waswow LLP in Oakland.
