SAN FRANCISCO — A store manager is suing a New Hampshire retail business, alleging unpaid wages, violation of workers compensation acts and wrongful termination.

Julie Dudum filed a complaint Aug. 31 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Ecco Retail, LLC, and Does 1 through 50, alleging they failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff, violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, Dudum worked as a manager at Ecco Retail's store in San Mateo, California, for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff alleges Ecco Retail misclassified her in order to avoid paying overtime wages and terminated Dudum' employment on March 15 when she complained.

Dudum seeks trial by jury, general, special, actual, compensatory and nominal damages, back pay, statutory penalties, legal fees, interest and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Daniel Feder of Law Offices of Daniel Feder in San Francisco.
