Songwriter accuses New York company of copyright infringement

LOS ANGELES — A songwriter is suing a New York corporation, alleging copyright infringement.

Amir Shaheed-Edwards, (professionally known as Bravo, Bravo's Partnership and doing business as MIA Branding Bravo, and Mr. Edwards, filed a complaint Sept. 7 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Syco Entertainment Inc. of New York City, alleging the defendant illegally made use of plaintiff's musical composition without permission.

According to the complaint, Bravo suffered damages from having his musical composition "All My Life" used without his consent. The plaintiff alleges Syco Entertainment illegally reproduced and distributed Bravo's musical composition without any license.

Bravo seeks trial by jury, damages, injunction against the defendant, interest, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. The plaintiff is representing himself.
