FRESNO – A Fresno County man and his wife are seeking damages from health care facilities after the man fell while waking up from sedation.

Gabriel Lyles and Laura Lyles filed a complaint on June 19 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Community Medical Centers, et al. alleging medical malpractice.

According to the complaint, Gabriel Lyles was a patient of the defendants from June 23 to June 24, 2017, for an ablation procedure. The suit states as Gabriel Lyles was awakening from sedation, the defendants failed to adequately support him and allowed him to fall to the floor. He alleges he suffered facial fractures as a result of the fall.

The plaintiffs hold Community Medical Centers, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly breached their duty to provide skillful management of Gabriel Lyles' health conditions.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek general and special damages, costs of suit, prejudgment interest and such other just, proper and appropriate relief. They are represented by Monrae English of Wild, Carter & Tipton in Fresno and James West and James Bulger of West Seber Bulger LLP in Beverly Hills.
