Newman present on the latest trends and legal developments in consumer products class action litigation at Greenberg Traurig’s Los Angeles office and broadcast via webinar. This is the third in a series of class action seminars offered by Greenberg Traurig’s LA office throughout 2018.

Shackelford, co-chair of the Los Angeles Litigation Group and co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Food, Beverage & Agribusiness Practice focuses his practice on complex litigation in numerous fields, including consumer class actions, product liability, false advertising, bankruptcy, securities, insurance, real estate and commercial law. He has considerable experience in consumer class action litigation, having been involved in class actions in federal courts in several states. In addition, his practice includes trials and appeals, in many instances involving cases he has handled from their initial pleading stages. He has defended clients in consumer product liability cases, including Proposition 65 claims.
Newman, a shareholder in the Los Angeles Litigation Group, has considerable jury trial experience defending complex civil disputes in a variety of areas. He has represented some of America’s most well-known food and beverage companies in federal court, defending claims of false advertising under the Lanham Act as well as state consumer protection statutes. Newman has broad experience in the defense of consumer class actions, including CAFA actions. He also specializes in products liability and toxic tort defense, having handled at least 50 such cases in California state courts this decade.
