FRESNO – A medical negligence suit has been filed against Clovis Community Medical Center and others over allegations they failed to diagnose a patient's condition.

Patricia G. Guest filed a complaint on Sept. 25 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Edward L. Felix, MD; Clovis Community Medical Center and Does 1-100 alleging medical negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in June 8, 2005, and continuing thereafter, she consulted the defendants for diagnosis and treatment. She alleges the defendants failed to diagnose her condition. The suit states a retained foreign object was surgically removed in July.

The plaintiff holds Felix, Clovis Community Medical Center and Does 1-100 responsible because she allegedly has been rendered sick, sore, lame, disabled and disordered because of the defendants' conduct.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks economic and non-economic damages, plus interest, costs and such other just and proper relief. She is represented by Douglas B. Malcolm of Douglas B. Malcolm, MD, JD Inc. in Avila Beach.
