Thompson Coburn LLP issued the following announcement on Oct. 29.
On October 15, LA associate Jessica Gordon was presented the Women of Achievement Award by the Century City Chamber of Commerce. The award is presented to professional women who demonstrate tremendous contributions to the community and to non-profit work.
The award was accompanied by a video featuring Jessica and highlighting her path to becoming an accomplished attorney. She claims the traits of a successful trusts and estates attorney were instilled at a young age when she played competitive sports and as a middle child, had to fight for “every inch.” After law school, Jessica became involved with the LA County Bar Association, eventually leading her to become President of the Barristers/Young Attorneys Section. She is also a charter member of the Century City Rotary Club. In these roles, Jessica has helped organize a number of community-oriented and non-profit projects. Her first position after law school also introduced her to trust and estate work, which now forms the core of her practice.
The Century City Chamber of Commerce promotes inter-business relationships in the Los Angeles region, and includes representatives from several industries.
