DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Angela Agrusa, a Los Angeles-based partner who is co-chair of the Food and Beverage sector and co-head of Business and Commercial Litigation, and Jackie Park, vice-chair of the US Real Estate practice and co-managing partner of the Los Angeles offices, have been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal's 2019 list of Most Influential Women Lawyers.
The editors noted Agrusa's high-profile litigation practices "expanding the firm's footprint in California and beyond," and highlighted Park's current work advising the Walt Disney Company regarding "the real estate portion of the $US71 billion transaction in acquiring 21st Century Fox, including 350 properties within the US and internationally."
Angela Agrusa tries commercial cases and class actions on behalf of international brands, major companies and prominent individuals. In a wide variety of complex disputes with hundreds of millions of dollars at stake, Agrusa has represented her clients in an array of matters, including brand and individual reputation defense, business torts, consumer fraud and false labelling, competitor false advertising, and unfair competition; she also maintains a sophisticated class action practice, strategically defeating class certification in single and multi-district litigation across the country.
Jackie Park has handled extensive leasing transactions for landlords as well as for tenants in office, retail and industrial settings. Her representation of landlords includes institutional landlords in office buildings and retail shopping centers, including The Ratkovich Company, The Prudential Insurance Company, LaSalle Investment Management, National Real Estate Advisors, Rising Realty Partners and PacShore Partners. Her representation of tenants includes financial institutions, entertainment companies and retail entities, including ongoing representation of Walt Disney Company and AECOM.
