Littler Mendelson P.C. issued the following announcement on May 20.

Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, is pleased to announce that Liseanne R. Kelly has rejoined the firm as a shareholder in its San Diego office. Kelly previously served as Director of Employment Law Compliance for Alliance Data, a leading global provider of data-driven marketing and loyalty solutions.

“Liseanne’s extensive experience with multi-state compliance issues will be of great value to our clients navigating a complex patchwork of state and local employment laws, especially here in California,” said Mishell Parreno Taylor, Littler’s Office Managing Shareholder in San Diego. “We are thrilled to welcome her back to the firm and know that her experience serving as an in-house lawyer, combined with her deep background counseling employers as a private practice attorney, will further enhance our capabilities.”

Kelly counsels in-house legal and human resources teams on a wide-range of matters that arise out of the employer-employee relationship. Her practice includes a particular emphasis on multi-state incentive compensation plan design and advising national employers on multi-state paid time off policies, leave administration and disability accommodation, and wage and hour issues. Kelly regularly works with clients to draft incentive compensation plans, draft and implement employment policies, and provide counsel on performance management issues.

“I’m excited to return to Littler and look forward to once again working with the great team here in San Diego, as well as our excellent lawyers across the firm,” Kelly said. “Littler’s robust platform and array of technology-based solutions that streamline employment law compliance are unmatched in the industry and I look forward to leveraging these resources to serve clients.”

At Alliance Data, Kelly provided guidance on compliance with employment laws across the country, particularly in California and on multi-jurisdictional issues. She also counseled on matters related to incentive and bonus plans, recruiting and hiring, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, paid leave, wage and hour matters, and disability accommodation.

Kelly received her J.D. from the University of California Davis School of Law and her B.S. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
