Greenberg Traurig issued the following announcement on Mar. 25.

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP Labor & Employment Practice Shareholder Lindsay Hutner spoke at the Bridgeport Legal’s PAGA in California teleconference on March 25.

The teleconference will focus on the procedural issues and nuts and bolts of the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). Hutner’s session will review PAGA penalties – what they are, how to calculate them, how case law has discussed penalties, and how courts are ordering the issuance of PAGA penalties. Additionally, the panel will provide a full picture of what PAGA is, what violations give rise to PAGA liability, how PAGA claims are brought and litigated, and what remedies are available through PAGA.

Hutner focuses her practice on employment law, with an emphasis on litigation matters. She advises employers on all facets of employment relationships, including the design and implementation of employment practices and handbooks, proper employee classification, wage and hour concerns, family and medical leave, workplace investigations, risk assessment of harassment and discrimination claims, terminations, and various employment laws. Hutner represents clients in both federal and state courts, as well as before administrative agencies, defending companies in both class actions and single-plaintiff cases involving employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, unfair competition, enforcement of non-competes and other restrictive covenants, misappropriation of trade secrets, wrongful termination, and breach of contract.
