SAN FRANCISCO - The Pacific Gas & Electric Company Is in legal hot water after a transformer explosion caused a fire, according to documents filed on March 17 in the San Francisco County Superior Court.

Plaintiff Nationwide Agribusiness Insurance Company insures a business property at 305 Bloomfield Rd. in Gilroy. According to the suit, a PG&E transformer exploded on August 14, 2020. The transformer, on fire, leaked burning oil onto a nearby stack of wooden pallets, igniting those as well, the suit says.

The fire spread to cause damage throughout the property after the transformer fell off its pole, still burning, and exploded on the ground below, the suit says.

Nationwide Agribusiness is represented by Berger Kahn.
