Lawsuit surfaces after toddler's leg is broken at Foster City Preschool and Daycare Center

REDWOOD CITY - The Foster City Preschool and Daycare Center on Eisenhower St. in San Mateo was pinned in an April 1 negligence lawsuit after a teacher allegedly fell onto a toddler. 

According to the complaint filed in the San Mateo County Superior Court, the plaintiff is Rolan Marat on behalf of his three-year-old daughter, Sophie Marat.

The child was at the defendant daycare center on April 2, 2019, when a teacher allegedly tripped on a chair while approaching the toddler and fell onto the girl's right leg, causing injuries including a leg fracture and hospitalization. 

The center is charged with vicarious liability, negligence and premises liability. 

Morat is represented by the Law Offices of Allister R. Liao in his request for damages.
