Troutman Pepper has been shortlisted for two 2021 Financial Times (FT) Innovative Lawyers North America awards. The firm is up for recognition in the Innovation in Data Analytics and Innovation in People and Skills categories. The awards, now in their 11th year, showcase the top law firms and in‐house legal teams driving innovation in the legal sector in North America.
Troutman Pepper is among seven firms shortlisted in the Innovation in Data Analytics category for the firm’s efforts to create a data-driven culture. Specifically, the firm is recognized for its efforts in creating a firmwide data strategy and building and leveraging an advanced data and analytics ecosystem to enhance decision making, drive automation and efficiencies, improve the client experience, and uncover new growth opportunities.
Troutman Pepper is also among seven firms shortlisted in the Innovation in People and Skills category for its development and implementation of Engage. In collaboration with stakeholders across the firm, Troutman Pepper’s Innovation Team built the Engage platform, which uses AI to simplify the challenges of workload allocation and capacity planning. The platform helps the firm assign work more efficiently and equitably to attorneys, so that clients ultimately receive the best service.
The annual FT Innovative Lawyers North America awards report is developed by the FT in partnership with RSGi Consulting. Winners are selected following a nomination cycle and extensive research that includes telephone interviews, questionnaires, and reviews. Market experts are also called in to assess the submissions and the research.
Winners will be announced on December 9 at FT’s Innovative Lawyers Awards North America virtual event.
