Minact, a Mississippi-based business management consulting firm operating in California, is facing a class action lawsuit for alleged labor law violations.

The plaintiff, Melinda Stinson, accuses the company of unfair competition, failure to pay minimum and overtime wages, failure to provide required meal and rest periods, failure to reimburse employees for required expenses, failure to provide accurate itemized statements, and failure to provide wages when due.

Stinson alleges that these practices were part of a uniform policy by Minact which unlawfully retained wages allegedly owed to her and other employees. She is seeking compensation for losses incurred during her employment from September 2021 to September 2022 and an injunction against such conduct by Minact in the future.

The case has been filed in San Francisco County Superior Court.

The plaintiffs are represented by attorneys Jean-Claude Lapuyade, Sydney Castillo Johnson and Perssia Razma, of the JCL Law Firm, of San Diego; and  Shani O. Zakay, of Zakay Law Group, of San Diego.
