BakerHostetler announced that 13 lawyers have been elected to firm partnership, effective Jan. 1. The new class includes members from each of the firm’s six core practice groups from 10 offices across the U.S.

New partners
Erica Barrow (New York) is a commercial litigator, representing clients in state and federal courts in complex business litigation and securities and corporate governance matters. She obtains successful results for her clients in the areas of fiduciary duty, business divorces, partnership disputes, contracts, fraud, noncompetes and class action defense. Barrow regularly advocates on behalf of issuers in securities litigation matters, including securities class actions, shareholder derivative suits and merger disputes.
Shruti Bhutani Arora (San Francisco) takes a comprehensive approach in advising clients on privacy matters, including compliance with U.S. and global privacy laws and regulations such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended from time to time, and the General Data Protection Regulation. She also helps clients prepare and negotiate complex technology contracts.
Lisa Canarick (Denver/New York) is experienced in the areas of estate planning, wealth transfer, business succession and estate administration, with a focus on high and ultra-high net worth individuals. She counsels clients to create and implement sophisticated estate plans with an emphasis on minimizing U.S. estate, income and generation-skipping transfer taxes while also accomplishing family goals. Canarick advises individuals and families through all phases of the process to create an estate plan based on the individual’s specific needs. She also collaborates with family members, fiduciaries, family offices, wealth management professionals, courts, and federal and state taxing authorities regarding all stages of trust and estate administration.
Cory Davis (Atlanta) concentrates his practice on procuring and protecting intellectual property rights in innovative fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, augmented reality and the metaverse, to name a few, with an emphasis on patent preparation and prosecution, patent portfolio management, and providing patent infringement and validity studies. As a former engineer with Fortune 500 companies, he uses his real-world experience, coupled with his practical legal knowledge, to counsel clients on their technological innovations and the challenges clients face in the 21st century. With his thoughtful and insightful counsel, Davis strategically manages patent portfolios to assist clients in meeting their business goals.
Jeremy Dunnaback (Cleveland) approaches client matters with the preparation, judgment and adaptability he developed as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army. He concentrates on commercial litigation and class action defense and is repeatedly called upon to handle legal issues in an array of cases, including financial services, breaches of contract and fiduciary duty, securities, data breaches and misappropriation. Dunnaback also is experienced in handling internal investigations and represents pro bono clients facing criminal charges.
David Ebersole (Columbus) is an accomplished tax litigator and a trusted tax adviser. He draws on his background as an assistant Ohio attorney general to understand all sides of a tax matter and uses this insight to achieve tax savings for his clients. Ebersole has worked on tax controversies at all levels, including oral arguments before the Supreme Court of Ohio.
Laura Gordon (Philadelphia) focuses her practice on patent prosecution, portfolio management and counseling for clients in the life science, biotechnology and pharmaceutical spaces. She applies her extensive laboratory experience and familiarity with technology transfer at large universities to help clients develop, secure and protect their intellectual property, both in the U.S. and internationally. Gordon’s areas of concentration include providing support for acquisitions and research collaborations and protecting clinical-stage, commercially significant pharmaceuticals.
Kristen Luck (Houston) is an experienced litigator and appellate attorney who litigates a wide range of high-stakes and complex commercial cases, including product liability, mass tort, class action and energy-related matters. She represents clients in all stages of litigation, from internal investigations and presuit negotiations through trial and appeal. Luck also is frequently brought into existing cases to lead the strategy and drafting of major motions and appellate briefs. As a result of her strong analytical and writing skills, she frequently obtains early dismissal of cases prior to trial. Luck also has achieved numerous victories for clients in bench and jury trials and appeals.
Meagan Martin (Orlando) focuses her practice on labor and employment law, advising and representing clients with respect to a wide scope of labor and employment law issues. She has extensive experience in the defense of employers in wage and hour class and collective actions and in discrimination cases. Martin also counsels clients regarding internal investigations, Title VII, the Family and Medical Leave Act, executive-level contracts on behalf of both executives and companies, noncompete matters, and traditional union and labor issues.
Elizabeth G. McCurrach (New York) is a seasoned litigator and co-leader of the Sports and Entertainment Industry team. She represents financial institutions, governmental entities and high net worth individuals in motion practice, discovery, trial preparation and appellate litigation for complex contractual disputes and bankruptcy proceedings. In addition to her litigation practice, a sizable portion of McCurrach’s time is devoted to counseling clients in the sports industry on a wide range of issues, including college athlete compensation; name, image and likeness; and useful strategies concerning the widespread increase in sports betting.
Sushant Mohan (Houston) is a Certified Public Accountant turned lawyer who focuses his practice on complex commercial and business litigation. He has experience representing clients in a wide variety of matters, including contract disputes, business torts such as breach of fiduciary duty and fraud, disagreements between operators and nonoperators, mineral ownership disagreements, and liens. Mohan has successfully defended numerous clients and often secured favorable rulings extricating his clients from complex disputes prior to trial. But when needed, he has been to trial multiple times as plaintiff and defendant and obtained multiple jury verdicts in his clients’ favor, including two of more than $60 million each. Mohan is on the leadership team for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and currently serves as a director for the Texas Young Lawyers Association, a division of the State Bar of Texas. Outside work, he is a proud father to his energetic 4-year-old son.
Katlin Rust (Cincinnati) is an experienced transactional attorney whose practice focuses on the mobility industry. She has broad experience representing clients in a variety of transactions, including supply agreements, contract manufacturing agreements, joint ventures and other collaborative development relationships, complex commercial contracts, and corporate governance- and intracompany-related matters. Rust has extensive experience in the automotive and aerospace industries, including advising clients on issues related to supply chain and manufacturing matters, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, autonomous vehicles, purchasing and procurement, and operations support.
Alyse Stach (Philadelphia) is adept at handling complex commercial litigation matters from their inception through resolution or trial. Her practice focuses on antitrust and competition matters, with an emphasis on complex and cutting-edge pricing issues. Stach is frequently at the forefront of trending antitrust and competition issues and has counseled clients on all aspects of civil and criminal antitrust and unfair competition laws.
