A class action lawsuit has accused Mission District organic warehouse co-op grocer Rainbow Grocery Cooperative of allegedly shorting worker pay, among other alleged violations of California labor law.

The suit was filed by Nicole Torres, of San Francisco, on behalf of herself and other allegedly similarly situated employees.

The complaint includes allegations of unpaid overtime, unpaid meal period premiums, unpaid rest period premiums, unpaid minimum wages, untimely paid final wages and wages during employment, non-compliant wage statements, failure to keep requisite payroll records, unreimbursed business expenses, and violations of the California Private Attorneys General Act of 2004.

The case was filed in San Francisco County Superior Court.

Torres and the class of additional plaintiffs are represented by attorney Arby Aiwazian, of Lawyers for Justice PC, of Glendale.
