Troutman Pepper has been named a finalist in the International Financial Law Review’s (IFLR) 2024 Americas Awards in the “Tech Innovation” category, which recognizes “a legal tech solution, or its application, that is pioneering, creative, or uses a new or untested product to great effect.”
The firm was shortlisted for its launch of an AI assistant, Athena, that harnesses OpenAI’s GPT to help attorneys and business professionals safely and effectively use generative AI to improve workflows and enhance overall user and client experiences. In doing so, the firm became of one the first to have a bespoke tool approved for such use across all its practice and administrative departments. To ensure the correct and effective use of Athena, Troutman Pepper provided comprehensive training and compliance support, demonstrating a commitment to both innovation and responsible use of technology.
Now in its 25th year, IFLR’s annual awards celebrate legal innovation through dealmaking and the work that improves the cross-border investment environment. In deciding the awards, IFLR conducts detailed research using a variety of sources, including interviews with private practice lawyers, in-house counsel and corporate finance professionals.
All the winning deals, firms, lawyers, and in-house teams will be presented at the awards ceremony in New York on May 15.
